Feinstein's gun CONFISCATION bill

I'm sure some people will find the title of this post controversial. On January 22nd new legislation will be able to be brought before the Senate. We can be assured that Feinstein's new bill will be among those bills introduced. We must be aware that this is NOT just an assault weapons ban. This is a gun CONFISCATION bill. Feinstein has said in the past that she would confiscate guns if she could get away with it and now she is trying to.

Now, you might ask, where in her bill does it say firearms will be confiscated? While the word confiscated or confiscation is not used in her bill we have to really look at the bill in order to understand how and when confiscation will come.

On Meet the Press Mrs. Feinstein said this about her plan, “It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession, not retroactively, but prospectively,” and ban the sale of clips of more than ten bullets, Feinstein said. “The purpose of this bill is to get… weapons of war off the streets.”

Her version of the bill would require NFA registration which is a lengthy process which includes your local law enforcement signing off that the weapon is not illegal in that area. It also requires a tax stamp of either $5 or $200 depending on what it is. While most of what I have read said it will be a $200 tax stamp on any weapon OR magazine I do not believe that they will charge $200 per magazine. Because the firearms could not be transferred upon death they would have to be turned into the government. There's the confiscation part of it right there. While you wouldn't have to turn in your firearms right away, eventually this bill would require them to be turned in.

It's important to let our legislators know where we stand on this bill.
